Mark JacobsenSenior Director of Product Development, FindLaw Mark Jacobsen is Senior Director of Product Development for FindLaw, a Thomson Reuters business that provides client development solutions to the legal profession. During his nine years with the company, FindLaw has evolved from an small player in the law firm marketing industry to a clear leader. Some of the key products developed during his tenure include: FirmSite, a line of Web sites designed specifically for the needs of law firms; FindLaw Attorney Topspots, highly targeted online advertising vehicles that effectively promote law firms to prospective clients; and FindLaw Online Video, a service to help law firms present their services to prospective clients through compelling web-based video. Before joining FindLaw, Mark was a pioneer in the field of interactive software and Web site development, managing the development of numerous award-winning interactive CD ROMs and online courses, including West’s Business Law: Interactive CD ROM Edition (West Publishing), Discover Chemistry (Brooks-Cole Publishing), and Seeing Statistics (Duxbury Press). Mark began his career in educational publishing where he developed a number of award-winning texts for the college market. Mark has spoken at industry conferences on such topics as Web Site Development, Project Management, Online Learning, Interactive Software, and Search.
