Ed AdamsEditor & Publisher, The ABA JournalEdward A. Adams is the Editor and Publisher of the ABA Journal, which is the flagship magazine of the American Bar Association. The Journal is read by half of the nation’s 1.1 million lawyers every month. It covers the trends, people and finances of the legal profession from Wall Street to Main Street to Pennsylvania Avenue. Prior to joining the ABA in September 2006, Ed was the public information officer for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. He created the court’s media relations plans for high-profile cases such as “American Taliban” John Walker Lindh and al Qaida member Zacarias Moussaoui. He has also served as a consultant on media issues with dozens of state and federal courts handling high-profile trials. Ed joined the court in 2002 from the daily New York Law Journal, where he had been a reporter and editor for more than a dozen years. He created the newspaper’s award-winning website, and served as executive editor of NYLawyer.com, an online publication for young attorneys at Manhattan’s largest law firms. He has also worked for the New York Post, CNN, U.S. News & World Report, the National Law Journal, American Lawyer, the Cincinnati Enquirer and the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
